Vitamins and Minerals

Vitamins Number One

The health industry gets bigger and bigger every year. We have diets, work out regimens, and supplements all geared to make us all healthier. Do they work? Not all of them, I’m sure. But with the advent of better foods and supplements, we have increased our life span here in America. In 1940 the average life span here was about 60 years. Now it’s over 78 years. There are a lot of factors that made that increase in life expectancy, but a big part is nutrition.

We are richer now; most can afford better food choices. We have more time now to concentrate on our physical needs because average workweeks and days are shorter. And we have much better health care science and facilities.

But we still have rampant heart disease, cancers, and other killers lurking in our bodies, mostly from nutritional deficits. And that is due, many times, from not spending the time and effort to prepare good nutritious meals that include all of the many vitamins and minerals our bodies need to stay healthy. We don’t have time to eat right.

We need supplements. There are 13 essential vitamins our bodies need and while most are available in the foods we can eat because we don’t spend the resources in money and time, we don’t eat like we should. But our bodies still need all those vitamins to fight disease and keep our bodies healthy. There are also many minerals that we need to aid our body’s immune systems and ability to make new cells and keep all of our internal and external systems on the right track. https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/ss/slideshow-vitamins-minerals-overview

There have been many studies that show little or no benefit to supplements or multivitamins, but all those studies show that the benefits are better served by a good diet, yet our lifestyles negate that. So supplements and multivitamins do help for the millions who can’t do the work at the kitchen chopping block.

There is a study by an Oregon State Professor, Balz Frei, (Head of the Linus Pauling Institute at OSU) that shows us that the previous studies that conclude the ineffectiveness of supplements do not take into account the lifestyle limitations to good nutrition. In a nutshell, his studies show us many may not be able to afford the good nutritious foods and the time and skill to prepare them three times a day, so supplements and multi-vitamins do aid good health for many.

So, the millions of folks who, for whatever reason, can’t maintain a solidly healthy diet will need assistance filling the requirements for health and multi-vitamins and mineral supplements are a necessity. And there are many. Many are cheap, filled with chemicals and fillers, many are expensive and may be filled with good products, or they may not. They may be labeled “all-natural” but they may not be, or they may have inferior ingredients.

Nutralite has been at the forefront of supplemental vitamins and minerals since the 1940s. They are all made from natural sources, with no added chemicals that do not derive from plants. They are all made in state-of-the-art facilities and designed by the best science and scientists. And any ingredients are strictly controlled, and most are made from crops grown at Nutralite facilities and farms under strict protocols and systems.

They aren’t cheap, but they are effective and when the dollars are all counted the savings one earns by using Nutralite is enormous. It takes less of a good thing to work better than an inferior product. And Nutralite is at the very top of the list.
